Define Kayak

This assistance allowed for getting the photograph? Can a partner take the picture of you holding the fish?

Absolutely.  You can even wait to take the picture til you're back on land. 

Edit:  though I would recommend at least 1 picture with you, the fish, and the boat - all together in the water  :-)

Recommend or require? While we are making all things black and white there shouldn't be recommendations from the committee. Just black and white rules. Is an on the water or kayak shot required?

I agree.  It's either a requirement or it's not.
