Kayak fishing for Tarpon

Morgan Promnitz from Hobie just gave me permission to share this video from a trip to Puerto Rico. Morgan left for the trip a few days after he returned from the Hobie Kayak fishing "Worlds" tourney in Austin Texas in November. These fish are bad ass!

Yep good music doesn't hurt. Every time I have posted a video with music I get copyright warnings from YouTube. It makes me wonder if you post the music credit at the end if they'll leave you alone.
Tarpon look like an absolute blast to catch. Great topwater action too.

No, posting credits for the music won't stop the copyright warnings.  Youtube is just doing their best to adhere to the DMCA.

I just noticed Morgans rod snapped in two on the monster Tarpon in the middle of the video. You can see the rod tip near its mouth when he pulls it on board. Also cool seeing the dude standing up in Outback too. Its not so bad when you're falling into warm water

That is so cool. I wish we had Tarpon up here. They look like they fight hard.

I remember growing up reading fishing magazines and articles on Tarpon Fishing.   Was often written to be, Pound for Pound, the most exciting fish to take on rod and reel because of their tendency to leap from the water.   Every good video I ever see of them seems to back that statement up. 
Wonder if there are anyone fishing the flats for Tarpon thinking "I sure wish we had salmon runs around here"

Awesome rod-busting action!  Tarpon are just the most awesome gamefish ever.  Kinda makes you want to get a tarpon tattoo like my buddy just did :O
