Sounds like fun. I haven't gone through all the rules yet but it sounds like fun.
I didn't see a cost on the website, is there a registration fee?
If someone's looking for a spot I'd love to play this year. I plan on fishing as much as possible.

I'd be up for being on a team... I was last year but I was a very late addition and forgot to take pics for KW.

I am curious... what exactly does your team get if you do well or win in KW?

You can win a hobie but I think it's a drawing. For each kayak wars man points you get I think you get entered. I think there are also divisional prizes too but I'm not sure what they are.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

I am out, too.  I decided (for me) it wasn't worth taking the fish out of the water, putting it on the board, measuring it, and photographing it if I wasn't going to keep it.  I forgot to measure many of the fish, as well.  The rules state the fish have to be measured alive on the yak.   Although, the rule did not appear to be enforced that I am aware of.

I'm in, hopefully I can get over my June slump this time.  It's a blast, and makes catching all kinds of fish fun.

No matter how many times the PB's tell me I'm nuts....I still smile every time I out fish them

So, if I joined one of the teams here, and i were on a business trip to Oahu, and was able to get a day of yak fishing in, would/could my catch for the day count for my teams overall points? ( just read the rules but this unclear)

Yes as long as it's salt water. I think. HI is in the same region as OR I believe.
