So I changed direction from waders and wading coat to dry suit and, while I don't know if anyone is shopping for a suit, these two companies had the cheapest suits I could find online.  Both have T3 Anglers on close out right around 509.00.

Hope this is helpful for someone!

It's not too hard to get a 20% off coupon code for outdoorplay.com .  With that I got mine (non-closeout) around this time last year for $480 shipped.

I wasn't saying there were not better deals out there, I just didn't want mango and that was all outdoorplay had, and because I invested significant time looking, thought I'd share.

I've been watching the discussions, checking reviews, etc., and just took the plunge today by buying a Kokatat GFER (first drysuit purchase).  Based on all I've read, they stand by their lifetime warranty without fighting you tooth and nail. I like the idea of front entry (I'm not a contortionist), relief zipper (I'm especially not THAT much of a contortionist), and Gore-tex socks rather than ankle seals.  $785 seemed like a decent price.  Now I just need to start amortizing it on a dollars/fish basis.

When amortizing dollar/fish don't forget to factor in the depreciation (or rather the lack of depreciation) of the fun factor.  Also remember there is truly no dollar amount you can put on safety.

Perhaps not, Jim-Dawg, but I know it's way north of the price of a drysuit, which is why I won't go onto these waters without it.  As we sadly learned again recently, a PFD alone in cold water is an evidence preserver, not a life-preserver.  And I have far more 'estate depleting' to do before I pass over.

20% discount?  Nice!  I was just in the Alder Creek Jantzen Beach store earlier today, Chanceum.  They only had one in my size, and it was $915.

Just curious why you didn't want mango.  I too wanted a subdued / darker color when i got my first drysuit, but then I realized bright colors are my best hope for rescue and safety should things go to crap.

+1

That and darker clothing can enhance the "hot" feeling you get when sitting in the sun on a warm day, on a cold ocean/river.  My green breathable waders were always hot to me while on the ocean with the sun out.  I purposely chose Mango when I purchased my Kokatat Meridian from Outdoorplay.

Well seeing as when the season starts here both water and air temp will be around 40 degrees, I'm not overly concerned with the sun making me over heat.  Lol
