Anyone looking to get a Wheeleez cart any time soon.  They have a club special ... 30% off.  The only hitch is that I have to put a banner up on the site and they'll take one order delivered to one address.  I don't exactly have any banner ads up on the site, but would consider putting one up if there is interest in taking advantage of this offer.

Here's the club offer ... http://www.wheeleez.com/clubs/

I just bought mine about 2 months ago... :'( Oh well. But for everyone else, please jump on this offer. These carts are by far the best and so worth it @ this price. These carts will take you over anything and make it nice and easy due to the size of the wheels. Get on it NWKA!! ;)

Those things are pretty expensive when you get up there in size.  Really though, I don't see how a big inflatable tire with barely any traction is going to get my over the beach or terrain any easier then one with actual traction on it.  Maybe they kinda 'float' over the sand or something.

They definitely float over the sand like nothing else.  Unless you're planning only ever carting your kayak on hard pack or pavement they're worth every penny Wheeleez charges.

Traction makes no difference as you're not applying power to the wheel.  However, the big balloon tires make all the difference in the world when going over sand or gravel (think about dune buggies and sandrails with large balloon tires).  Work great on cobble stone beaches too.  I have a more normal cart and find myself plowing sand while my neighbor with a Wheeleez rolls right over it.

Well, I might be interested in the spring then.  I don't plan to go anywhere besides the lake until then.   All the public parks on the lake also have boat ramps.  I just plan to pull the truck up, dump the kayak by the water, park the truck and call it done.  No need to cart it around.  Once the spring hits I'll try an Ocean BTB entrance.  That will require a cart for the sand, as a few of the parks here are several hundred feet back from the tide line.

I still do the Hoist and Haul method.
Most good fishing areas do not have nice parking lots and sand where I am.
Lotsa cliffs and seastacks!  :sad4:

So here's the plan.  We'll be moving to a new server some time in the near future.  Once that happens I'll contact Wheeleez to see if we can set up this group deal.  And if all goes well, I'll set up the banner and away we go!!!   :color:  Stay tuned!!!

I am actually in the market now for the "kayak beach cart" with the big fatty 11.8" x 7" tires, myself.
I mostly use my Granny walker cart for hard pack areas, but I have found a definite need for bigger floaty tires for the sand terrain.  My Harbor Freight 10" x 3" tires work okay in tandem on the hard sand, but no bueno on the soft stuff (as I expected).

So, if this is a possible option soon I'll wait and go with the group buy.
