Sculpin Tacos?

Uhh....No!   I caught 4 black rocks that served as the meat for the tacos.
We flash fried the corn tortillas in about a inch of hot oil on the disk, at the same time we deep fried 4 pieces of dry battered fish.

Crazy fast way to make fish taco's!

We were hungery, it was getting dark and started to rain while we did the frying, so no camera action.   Maybe next time.

OMG the results posts made me hungry!!!!
Both the tacos and the crab look awesome....

INSAYNE, you're always good for an innovation or two but I think you outdid yourself on this trip.  The crabbing strategy and cleaning are ideas I'm going to have to try.

Now I've got a serious craving for fish tacos.  Yours sound tasty.  I'm going to have to settle for 2 for Tuesday at Taco Del Mar.

I've been pre cleaning my crab like this for about 10 years or so.  I never liked the aftermath of cooked guts and yuk!
This method is so quick and easy, a caveman could do it.
The other upside to precleaning crab prior to heading home, is that there is no need to worry about the meat going bad if the crab dies before being cooked.
Just remove all the nasty bits in the carapace that get toxic when they die.  Keep the crab legs/shoulders in a bag over ice and you can cook, steam, stir fry, or whatever
a couple days later when ya have the time.

Now, I am not 100% sure what all was in the Thia spice concoction that BlueWRX02 provided, but it and the Rogue Chipolte beer gave that stir fried crab some "KICK", and incredible finger licking flavor that no amount of keyboard strokes could describe properly.

Stir fried crab on that disc is my new favorite way to prepare them bugs!

I somehow missed the video of you cleaning crabs until now.  I am going to give that a try next time.

That crab cleaning technique is amazing! Thanks for the great tip.
