What is this "kayak fishing" stuff that you speak of, INSAYN?  Deep, the Jade is real.  Mr. Taters was real.  But he died.  I thought we went over that.  To find the Jade, place one magnum of California Merlot into your crockpot.  Add orange peel, cloves, cinnamon, allspice, and a dash of nutmeg.  Set on low.  Wait an hour.  Stir.   Consume.  Go to your garage.  Sniff the inner sanctum of your oldest set of waders.  The ones your wife won't allow in the house.  Look deep within yourself.  That essence of hooliganism, next to the deepest cockles of your heart.  The part that likely burns from the Merlot.  That, my friend, is the Jade.

Great job tonight Spot! I think the focus on safety was perfect. I learned a lot.

Great turn out! Must have been over 30 folks there, standing room only! Thanks to Spot and the tackle shop for putting this together.

Look forward to getting into the salt for some bottom fishing. Ron suggested Depot Bay, maybe we can plan a trip after the new year (when I spring for my out of state license).

Spot,

Thanks for putting on the clinic. It was jam packed with information. I'm still lacking some of the garb for salt water but hope to get it all together for 2012. My son went along, too, and now I believe he's ready to give kayak fishing a try. Thanks again.

Thanks guys! I'm glad so many of you could make it.  I believe that the final count was 36.

Extra thanks to KayakanglerJim and PDXfisher for your generous contributions of pizza and to INSAYN for taking some time to talk about the crabhawk.

Oh yeah, I'd like to thank the owners of Hoggs Jo/Mar Hardcore Tackle for being so generous and accomodating!!!!!  They're a small shop that's sincerely interested in carrying the tackle and gear we as a community are looking for.  If you're in the area, check them out.

Yes, big thanks to PDXfisher and KayakanglerJim, WE OWE YOU!!  And thanks to everyone who brought beer too!

Spot put on an A+++ clinic!  I hope more of these will happen.  Judging from the eagerness of Hoggs to support the kayak fishing community that I felt last night, it sounds like more clinics are inevitable.  Great shop!

Excellent clinic Spot!  I learned a few things myself.

Looking forward to more of these on the west side.
PROGRESS IS JUST BEING THERE!
