If we plan to do a fish fry again this year before the awards, I'll be happy to supply fryer equipment, table and the propane as well as run the fryer again.

To make it go smooth, we will need someone to supply:
  • 5 gallons of Peanut or Canola oil.
  • 2 boxes of Pride of the West batter mix.
  • Lemon Pepper, Mrs. Dash, Tarter sauce, or other condiments.
  • Without The Nothing attending, we will also need a Fish Monger.

I'll be there and more than happy to help out. What all do you need from the "fish guy"? I have no prob putting the knife to fish and making a big ole pile of meat to fry up.

Additionally I know there have been a few requests for fillet demo. If some wants to film it would be fun to put a series together to keep and post back on the site.

How are the cleaning stations there? Plastic or wood cutting surface?

I'd like to throw out a big Thank You! to everybody who's stepped up so far.

If you've never attended an ORC event, and especially if you've never been on the salt, you owe it to yourself to sign up.  It's like a riverside family reunion culminating in an ocean fishing contest and awards potluck.  There's usually a lot of gear and rigging-idea trading.  For those new to the ocean, there are many of old salts ready and willing to help out.

I'll bring my camera as well and try and take some pics around camp and maybe on the water too. Not sure how taking them on the water will go though. I can also bring a little selection of micro brews.

    I'll handle Logistics again.
    - Notify CG, Harbor Master, local charter co's, local business donations, ....

Improved brick building attached to restroom facilities.  Has lights, running water, 25' of plastic cleaning surface, electric fish waste grinder, slippery (when fishy & wet) concrete floor.
