It is cool, but how many rods does a person need at one time?

Ha! You sound like my girlfriend. It is probably more than I need for ocean fishing. I was thinking one on either side for active trolling (the forward facing ones). One for a net, one for a gaff, and the little one in the back for a flag. I think that still hasn't filled them all  ;D ... soo yeah, more than I need. The guy who made these uses one for a selfie stick thing for filming I think.

I'm thinking of doing something like this too. My reason is that I might want to carry a couple rods, a net, maybe a light or safety flag, maybe a gopro...things like that. The two built-in holders just aren't enough (in *my* opinion). Might not need to add 6-8 tubes, but adding a couple more wouldn't hurt.

I'll have to report back after I finally have a chance to use the things. Here are some pics of the one I made for my revo 13

My usual answer to somebody who is trying to decide between a Revo and an Outback is to ask how much gear do you like to take with you. If you like bring a lot of gear, get an Outback, if you're more of a minimalist, go with a Revo.

Minimalist, yes.

Fisherman, debatable.  :-\

This clown should not get any further publicity than he already has.

The infamous Nanook - I wasn't 100% sure, although now that I think of it, that was his avatar, wasn't it? And it's ironic that I would associate him with a Hobie. That whole flame war was just reaching its zenith when I started following NWKA. I found the whole thing fascinating. Sort of NWKA's version of trashy reality TV drama.

And it was almost dead and gone, and then you brought back.  Poo Poo on you!

It's all good, bro.  I forgive you.   :occasion14:
