HOW PDX Volunteers needed for upcoming events

Did I mention you get to fish while volunteering? For anyone considering this its a really rewarding way to give something back. You don't have to be an expert kayak fisherman, just happy to share a little knowledge with a deserving Vet. For the Battle Ground event we can provide licenses to any Oregon guys that don't have a WA one.

I agree with Noah - it is a great way to get out and give something back!  I had a great time with the group that went to Rainier Lakes last month - sorry I won't be able to join up in Battle Ground. 

Looks like the catching should be good for those interested in helping out at the North Fork and Harriet events - both look to follow scheduled stockings from ODFW.  I know that North Fork can be very productive that time of year if you're interested in planter rainbows.  We should be able to keep the vets very busy!

I also have a trailer full of boats that can be used, though I am at a shortage for paddles.

Assuming I don't leave my mirage drives hanging on the wall in the garage (67% chance of that happening based on my last 3 outings), I will have 2 Hobie paddles available for use at the two Oregon events.  I guess that also assumes I don't leave the paddles at home as well!

 I will bring my Outback and can also bring 2 Native Ultimate 12's,and my Camo SINK if you'd like? Also extra PFD's, poles, trout gear, etc.

Hey Mark-
We'll have the volunteers show up between 730-800 and then have the vets show up at 900. I'll shoot you a PM later in the week to confirm exactly what we'll need but at this point I'd say we could use the two ultimate 12s, maybe the SINK, and all the PFDs, paddles and poles you could spare. I'd have I-Hop email you further details on the location and event schedule. I'm working on the volunteers and equipment. Thank you very much for the support!

I updated the signup list. Please let me know if any of you guys would like to volunteer at the June 8th or the July 20th event. We could also maybe use 1-2 more guys for the Battle Ground event. Thanks for your support of HOW!

Hey Hop,
I just gave them a call to check if they are on summer hours yet and their voicemail confirmed that they are. Park is now open from 6:30 am - dusk. Which works out cuz the morning bite is pretty good.

Are you guys able to dodge the Discover Pass for BG?
