Roy,

How willing would you be to show the ropes to a kayak fisherman with no "Salt" experience.  Would love to get out on the ocean and try my hand at fishin the big pond, but am chicken, without some experience.  I would bet there's some others on this board that have more of 'trout' background and not 'cod' background that might be willing to make a weekend trip down to CoosBay for some mentoring.

Can pay in post-fishing beer around a campfire!

More then willing, and im learning more about how to get some big lings and get more limits everyday, so it will be fun!!. :headbang:

just gotta rely on the NOAA forecast for planning and hope it stays calm.it was 6 foot swell today, but not windy. I'm getting used to it so it didn't bother me, except for starting to feel seasick after 3 hours. so anything under 6 would be good and fish early to noon, then the wind almost always comes up.
See ya on the water..
