Did you poor the plug, or lathe it?
Also are those duck hunting waders?

First, the credit goes to pmmpete for the inspiration...awesome!

I just used two pieces of 2x6 fir glued and screwed together and liberally top coated with marine varnish. I shaped both pieces on a belt sander to a slight interference fit.

Rather than making a bracket to correct the pulley height after shortening the boom, I just used a "line guide" halfway out on the boom. I also disassembled the unit and rearranged the brake handle so it pointed fwd when installed. The area just behind the "tray" and in front of the rudder handle is perfectly spaced with the mount holes in the depthmaster bracket...installed some custom made waterproof "nutplates" inside the hull there to accept the hand bolts. The front holes of the mount plate were screwed to the wood block with some SS wood screws...ROCK SOLID!

Busted...those are my duck hunting waders...somebody said they'd show me some duck hunting one of these days.

Nice set up.  For your next maiden voyage, you may need one of these - the double cup holder.

Outbacks have two cup holders...one on each side, so I still have a place for a beer.

I do like the beer helmet though...especially if you could rig it so you could sip beer from one side while you "filled" the other side with "used beer"...I'd buy one!
