Did you launch from Bridgeport State Park?

Nope. We pulled in there and the ranger told us it was closed this time of year. He told us the spot was Brandt's Landing (USACE site) about 4 miles from Chief Joseph Dam on the south side. You can bank fish there and get a kayak down the dirt slope, but PB's can't launch there. Marked a lot of fish right there, points, drop-offs and lots of structure. We never fished more than 1 mile away from that launch for 2 days.

Also there is a post on WA Lakes from the same time period. That PBer was working across the lake from us for a couple of hours, before moving up to the pens in the upper lake. They were tossing marabou jigs and limited on fish to 10 pounds. No sure where he launched to hit the lower lake, but there must be another ramp there on the north side.

I think you can launch a PB from the park/launch just above the dam on the south side.  The south shore up from the launch is where I usually fish with moderate luck
