I think Westport is still open

 I know Westport, Washington is still open....... was curious about the Oregon coast.

 Any true answers

Selective Coho (fin-clipped) Season (Cape Falcon to OR/CA Border): Open June 21 through earlier of Aug. 10 or 80,000 marked coho quota  Bag Limit: All salmon.  Two salmon per day, all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip 
Non-selective Coho Season: Open Aug. 30 through the earlier of Sept. 30 or 20,000 coho quota Bag Limit: All salmon.  Two salmon per day.

And per the updated regs here:  http://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/salmon/Regulations/docs/2014_Ocean_Sport_Summary_Map.pdf, ocean Chinook are still open, at least south of Cape Falcon...

I would never lie to you Mark.   The lower Columbia is the next trip for me.  Don't know when yet. I have to leave town this week again.

  I could do Saturday if the ocean conditions improve....Might utilize the electric trolling motor though....

The sound of big waves breaking in the pre dawn fog from the bathrooms was a bad sign. The dorry boats driving back up the beach access road still loaded was another bad sign. At 7 fugitive and my self decided to go salmon fishing in the Nehalem river couple of strikes no hooks seen some good acrobatics on the water. They are hooking chinooks but we couldn't get no nookie hookie.

Junehogs and I were the other half of that quartet.
We did no better on the Nestuca, spoke with a guy who talked to the guy that caught a 35 pound Chinook out at the jaws.

Right on! I had one of those slam a spinner last weekend and stood between me and a total skunk. Might have been a bit close to the bottom, though.
