Anybody using these....

http://www.amazon.com/Plano-Guide-Series-Polycarbonate-Field/dp/B003JFOZJU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1421765969&sr=8-5&keywords=plano+waterproof+storage+box

Has good reviews, just curious if they are "truly" water and air tight.......in a kayak and salt water enviroment that is.....

That is the same series as the one I mentioned. I have had zero leakage. Lee mentioned if you try hard enough you might get some water in them. I would say they are safe for anything except electronics.

I've been using a smaller size (3050 I think) to carry a cell phone and it's been perfect so far.  Dropped it in the water (on a tether) and it took a while for me to notice, but everything was fine.  Hint: wipe the outside of the box dry before you open it to check the phone.

Thanks again for pointing them out to me.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I use the Plano Stowaway tackle boxes and they are waterproof for me, I test them in a 5 gal. bucket of water and they seem to work well. The three latches can be a pain in the butt sometimes with cold fingers but a small price to pay for dry tackle.

To keep them from sliding all over the place I use some spray contact cement and glue some Harbor Freight tool box drawer liners on the bottom of the boxes, it's a black perforated rubber mat, real thin, light weight and will stop any sliding out of sight, dirt cheap and works....warf
