The base is mounted on two Yak Attack Mighty Mounts and those are mounted to one of the skinny gear tracks along the gunwale of my Revo13. Totally solid setup, highly recommended.
+1
I'm a huge fan of making things from scratch, but it's hard to beat the Mighty Mount kit for its price and ease.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

I really like YakAttack's Zooka Tube. I love having options, you can flip the tube around to use for a spinning or casting set up. I have the system in the link. I pair that with the Mighty Mounts and slide that right on to the GT90 Gear Trac for my Revos. It works great and getting the system on and off the kayak is a breeze.

And with finding this deal, who can go wrong with the Orca's?

http://www.amazon.com/Scotty-Orca-Holder-Flush-Mount/dp/B004O0BRRM/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

A customer review at the bottom of the page says he only received one rod holder and one flush mount when he made the purchase, and the seller refused to honor the ad.  I've posted a question to the seller asking for clarification as to how many setups the deal includes.   If it's 4, that is a smoking deal.   If it's only 1 setup, not so much.

Yea, if it sounds too good to be true, yadda yadda. And that's proven in this case by the one customer review. I wouldn't chance it. BUT...if you do, and you actually get four, let me know.  ;D

I never did get a response from Scotty on my question, so I rolled the dice and ordered the rod holders anyway.   A package of 4 showed up today.     :occasion14:

At $45.54 for 4, that's about $11.39 for each rod holder/flush mount base.   Seeing how most sellers are asking around $31 each for one, this is a smoking deal.
