I don't know anything about the attacks (besides what I just read in those 2 stories) and have never fished the area, but I would be really surprised if it wasn't the same shark. People are notoriously bad at estimating particulars like length in stressful situations and, from the little I understand, this is unusual behavior for a white shark.

John, who was fishing with Dave when the most recent incident occurred, was asked how big he thought it was and he reported it looked about 50 feet long!  :)  No doubt, Shelter Cove is a sharky spot, but kayaks go out of there pretty much every day, many of them yellow (like mine) and two attacks in one year is a lot by comparison to other areas, but still incredibly rare.  Just glad nobody has been injured in the recent attacks.

Did I say 50? I meant 100!  :)

In all seriousness it’s really difficult to estimate length as it is occurring. 10ft, 15,20. Does it really matter? There’s a shark chewing on a kayak!! From my perspective it appeared to be in the range of 13ft, or the length of the revo. But much much more barrel shaped that I would have thought it to be.
