I hooked my first two on Wednesday in the skokomish.  Just plain fun.  Never had my drag pull out like that before in fresh water

if this goes off and SG does hook into a dog, she's in for the fight of her life. she doesnt know the reputation of chums hitting and running like you tied into a freight train  >:D >:D ;D

I've got to say, pound for pound, Chum are THE most powerful salmon.  They can empty a spool in a flash.

Mon may end up a bust  :BangHead: As of right now TWC is calling for wind/rain in Hoodsport for Mon. I don't mind the rain, but the wind may be a deal breaker. I'm hoping for a new report by tomorrow night, but it's not looking good. I'll post either way tomorrow evening.

I wish either were an option for me. The rain is supposed to start out light and get heavier as the day goes on. Wind blowing SSW @15MPH. I think I'm going to scrub this trip. I don't mind getting rained on, but a 15MPH wind with the rain will be miserable. Hopefully things shape up, and I can paddle the Nis delta next weekend (most likely the 14th). if anyone wants in on that.

I should have studied meteorology. It's the only job I know where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still make more $$ than the  average Joe :angry4: Wish I had stuck to my guns and made the drive this morn. It's 11am, and still no wind. Hopefully I'll make up for it this weekend.
