References removed. I don't know the ACK boys well, but from everything I've heard, they are a good business, too. Good luck with your boat.

Not , but Austin Canoe & Kayak.  Austin Canoe & Kayak is also a stand-up retailer and has been a pleasure to deal with in the past.  If Hobie will not honor its warranty, then I cannot expect ACK to do so.

We might want to remove our references to since they have nothing to do with the situation.

Hobie is blowing me off, telling me to fill the boat with boiling water, etc.  Basically to do what has been suggested by some here.  So they are making the problem mine.  Maye I'll drill a 1" plug out of the bottom of the hull and send it to them to see if it meets their minimum thickness specifications.

The issue has been resolved.

The run of sunny weather we have had, which coincided with some time off, gave me the opportunity.  When I got the Revo out of the garage and upside down on the lawn I found the hull had mostly returned to its original profile. I covered it with a layer of black plastic and let it sit a few hours.

I had a small aircraft inner tube available so I flipped the boat over and stuffed the deflated inner tube into the rear hatch, positioning it flat just forward of the edge of the hatch. I inflated it with a hand pump until the hull profile was relatively normal.  It inflated such that it is tight against the bottom of the hull and the bottom of the live well.  I needed to be careful that the tube did not bind any of the many rudder control cables.  The only difficult part was working my hand into the center of the tube to release and retrieve the valve chuck.  It provides a good support for the hull in the sensitive area behind the live well scuppers. At a later time I may replace the inner tube with some closed cell foam or a different shaped air bag.

Good deal man.  If I were you, I would consider pulling the tube back out, or at least reduce the pressure in it while it is in there.  Air temps go up, so does pressure.  It would suck to come home from a non kayaking excursion on a hot day to find your Revo rectally inverted.  :o

I'll keep an eye on it.  I did bleed it off some after leaving it in the sun another couple hours.

Glad your yak is back in shape. That's the same aera i had problems with on the first on i had. Thin for the flat shape there. The dealer in
Florence took care of it , exchanging boats.. I have a feeling they ate it though, putting it in thier rental fleet as it wasn't.t real bad,,,, but nobody looks at the bottom i guess. Bug ed me though for same reasons  you stated.
Second one is ok but still tender in that same aera. It lives full time atop my truck upside down supported in two spots, no problems
Al in all, happy with the Revo. Royg
