Yeah

Lurking and oggling those nice pix.

I was on the east side of the Island fishing a few days before the derby and tweaked my neck. I drove back to Victoria early sat morning and I can tell ya that I was pretty choked passing the cutoff to Gold River/Moutcha Bay. What a bummer.

I did get a chance to paddle with some killer whales tho and also picked up a small salmon but I knew Moutcha was going to be BIG AGAIN this year.

Great job. Looks like you guys/gals had a blast...eeeeeeh haaaa!!!

I'll downsize my pix and try and post a couple of the Killer whales. They didn't turn out that great but it WAS pretty cool.

Cheers,
Snag

Bummer, Sean. I was looking forward to meeting you in person.

So, is a trip to Telegraph Cove quicker and smoother than Moutcha?

Those are some amazing photos, esp. those with jumping salmon.  I'm hoping I can make it to next year's event.
