It was nice to meet the NWKA guys. I think I also saw doughboy right as I was leaving but he was across the river. I ended up catching one small trout or salmon fry while trying for bass but that was it. Not much action.

Water level was up, and still up, from "backwater" caused by high flows in the Columbia. This generally lasts quite a while as the big river damns spill snowmelt from the Columbia's drainage.  This kills the current in the Willy at all but the strongest part of the outgoing tide and upriver near OC.  Water temps are also climbing.  Fish get much harder to catch once this starts happening.. It looks like only a little more than 10% of the projected run has gone over the falls so I hope :o more are on the way.  Its getting close to the time of year where "copper and red make salmon dead" ::)
