Keep in mind that the traffic channel for Depoe Bay is channel 80.  You won't hear much traffic on 16 in that area.

Yo Noahk,

I can make it out on Sat.  Don't have a radio as yet.  I'd leave Van in the Am and be at DB by 7:00 would return home in the afternoon or eve.  You can give me a shout if you want to talk.  Bus # 360-891-7178.

Sounds good. I'll meet you at the ramp between 700-715 or just see you on the water if one of us is late.

LittleFred and I hit the water a bit before 8:00 and headed out toward the red buoy. Made a couple of drifts with no action. Paul headed a bit North of the buoy while I moved further south. Met up with Wannabe shortly after that. He ended up with the only keeper of the day between the three of us, a decent black. Around 930 the swells started to pick up and along with the wind. By 1030 it was getting a bit too nasty for us and we made our way in at about 1130. Undersized lings were the story of the day.

I’ve never been convinced that Dramamine was effective for me so this day I decided to forgo it and try a homeopathic motion sickness cure I picked up at wholefood. That was a stupid idea. Seems the Dramamine does help just doesn’t cure it completely. I spent much of the day puking. I usually try and nab a good number of photos but with the motion sickness I could only manage one.

Wasn’t the greatest day I’ve had fishing but it was still great to get out there and met a couple of new folks. Saw a gray tundra parked in the lot with a NWKA and ifish sticker on it too but didn’t see the kayaker that went along with it. Paul and Mike it was nice to meet you guys.
