OK.  I guess I didn't answer you real questions.   ::)

Check the o-ring in the deckplate.  If it's cracking replace it.  If it looks good, give it a coat of, oh shoot I forget, some material that is meant for o-rings to keep it pliable and supple.  Clean out the o-ring channel and replace o-ring.  Check the plate ridge that mates with the o-ring.  Know down any sharps burrs, grooves, etc, that may have accidentally formed.

Another thing you may want to check.  Remove the deck plate completely and replace, but first put down a bead of goop.

Thanks Allen!,
I have cleaned it up well with a toothbrush, examined the o-ring. Found a few small dents in the surface of the o-ring, before ordering a new one, I took Boulster's advice and put a large rubber band I got off of some broccoli or something around the plate cover.
I need to put the garden hose to it for a test
either way I will order a replacement or two, I need to order a deck plate for the back of my P-13 any how.

On the subject of deck plates, can I remove the center plate I have and cut out the plastic "bowl" and put the plate back with a cat bag? Seems doable to me, no prob.
Any one do this all ready?

Thanks for ALL THE HELP
