Unless things change, The Murf said he probably won't make the ORC this year.

I am willing to pick up anyone along the way.  I'm coming from Skagit County, so that would include anyone from Mt Vernon to Portland metro area.  Gas cost would be figured based on where I pick you up from.

Also, anyone that is willing to share a tent site let me know.  This trip will be expensive enough that anything that will cut that cost down will be helpful.
What day do u plan on heading down?
here fishy fishy fishy!!!

Thursday after work.  I can leave here (Mt Vernon) as early as 3PM.  Pre-fish Friday (weather permitting), head home Sunday after breakfast.

ETA: j-fek - If I leave here at 3PM I can pick you up potentially as early as 6PM.  If traffic is bad it'll take a bit longer though of course.  Probably better to assume 7-8PM.  Usually traffic is pretty light until I get to about the middle of Seattle.  After that it's a crap shoot.  Some times it's negligable, sometimes horrendous.  I've blasted through there at 65mph the whole way, and other times crawled at <10mph for hours.  Given it'll be a Thursday night it shouldn't be toooooo bad.  If we ride together I'd call you once south of Olympia to give you a reasonably accurate time estimate.

Cool.  If it works out, great.  If not no worries.  I'm sort of planning something else in my mind that would make it impossible to carpool if I could pull it off, but that's very sketchy right now anyway.  I'll hold off on any additional planning until I know your schedule.

Looks like I have to go to Eugene first, before I hit the ORC.  So that means I can't really carpool anymore.

I was supposed to go there over Memorial Weekend with the 2 older kids but my mom got a nasty flu bug.  Part of the trip was to help my dad with a bunch of blown down trees and branches (pay back for the free chainsaw).  This stop before the ORC is to take care of all that.

Still though, if anyone wants to share a campsite let me know.

sumpnz - I am not sure how they manage the "sites" at the RV park, but I would be happy to share my "site" with ya if it will save some $$$$.  I will only have my small tent with me, so there should be plenty of room if they allow 2 tents per "site"

I can bring my larger tent and share that with you to cut it down to 1 tent.  Up to you.  It can very easily fit 2 people plus a lot of gear inside.  I also have 2 cots I can bring so you're up off the ground.

There are no designated 'sites' there is a group 'area'.  The only designated sites are RV hookups.  You'll need to bro it up and share a tent.
