I don't think the head shakes are going to cause a lost fish unless you have the tag cut short.

It'd not obvious to me how the tag end comes into play.  In the video, the tag eng goes out the hook side, while the main line goes out the eye side.

I think I'll order some of these and give them my own test.

How come we are not still communicating with smoke signals?
Wait, someone invented the postal system, then the phone, then cell phone and then later computers with cool features like "Forums".   :o

I encourage new and innovating ideas, not that I will jump in on the first train of folks, but will see how it progresses.
If it is a useful idea, it will spawn future ideas that I may actually go all out with.

Do they have jig heads with this kind of setup yet, if not that is where my dad could use the help.  His eyes are bad enough now from diabetes that he may be losing his drivers license.  He love's to steelhead fish from the bank, and cannot see well enough close range to get the line through the jig eye.   :-\

Ahh... I didn't watch the video until now, and if Scott had visited Easy2Hook in the past he'd note that the way they're recommending the hook be attached is different than in years past. They used to suggest doubling your line over, hooking the loop with the ball, and then wrapping the doubled line up the shaft.  I had assumed they were still showing the same thing that they have for the last 3 ICASTs...

And, Craig, yes, they're doing jigs now too.

BTW, with this new way of tying the knot, why do you even need these hooks?  If my thinking is right, you can tie a similar knot on a regular hook, but you'd need to thread the mainline through the eye.  Does that sound right?

BTW, any recommendation on what hooks you all would like to see me try out.  They are going to send me some, I just need to choose.

I should have picked up some of the "rapala adapter" things when I saw them. That new wrapping method is going to be a lot better than the old, I can see that already. I totally missed that too....

When I watched ghe video last it looked like the line going out through the "eye" had to be done last, as the "weight"  of the hook and bait combo kept the line taught, there by keeping the "knot" tight. If that is how it works can you reverse tie the knot with a standard hook as mentioned above?

As for testing the hooks, some of the Rapala adapters would be nice to hear about.
