Hello all - looks like you are having fun despite the weather. Sorry I have not been able to attend - major septic issue on Friday evening.  :( Somewhat back to normal, so hope to get down to Whiskey Gulch sometime t'row.
Good things come to those that wade.

Well day one ends. Weather did not cooperate.  But we are here and we declare the games open!

The days winner is Andy AKA Kenai_guy, but the overall title is still wide open as Andy managed an irish lord and the distinction of staying on his yak.

A close second is Matt AKA Rimfirematt.  He makes a launch in SUPER difficult situation look easy.  But this is a fishing challenge, not figure skating so he is a solid second. Style loses out to an Irish lord.

Team sportsman MVP goes to Michele AKA Pink Fisher who didn't even suit up but provided all of these great pictures.

But the race in all categories is WIDE open.

Entertainer/joker award goes to ME! I wasn't about to let Andy and Matt steal the glory. I suit up and off I go.

At waters edge, that surf looks awful big.  But I didn't want funngunnin to think we Alaskans were wimps and I had an audience.  Lol.  So I give it a try.

I think I won a few additional awards if my comrades will allow the judge to award himself...

Big AIr on two separate attempts...

YARD SALE & EPIC FAIL award

And finally.... WTF were you thinking?!?!? Award

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent
