Columbia Springer reports are getting better by the day.  I can't wait to get home and pack my car up for the morning!

I defected today and jumped in PB for the day. The bite is heating up in the Columbia. We went 3/4 today with 3 rods.

I got a 15 pounder.

Way to go on the FISH!  Awesome, great job!

dberd, what were you using for bait?  What tricked that salmon on the muddy Willamette?

I'm not coming up for the "clinic" tomorrow, but I DID get my rod holder installed and will have to look for some opportunities later in April.  Hope to see lots more reports of catches tomorrow.

I think my wife is going to kill me. If I'm not at the clinic tomorrow somebody please send out a search party in the woods behind my house.
I recently obtained a recipe for a seriously potent salmon scent to compliment my herring from a very reliable source that I'm drying to try tomorrow at Davis.
I won't give it all away, I'll just say it involved whole sardines, various scents, another mystery bait fish (fillets), various oils, and a blender.
I just blended that shiz in my wife's fancy Ninja blender. If the smell doesn't come out after this deep cycle machine wash I may not survive the night.

p.s. I leave my blue yoga mat to Noah if I don't make it.

Hey,bb2!....muddy may have been an overstatement. Was surprised when launching that 12 on the turbidity scale meant brown...no green. Was totally prepared to try shallow water, but got lazy and stayed the usual 15-25 fow .Only change of plan was short leader after flasher(3ft)...a ton of scent(anise/herring) on cut plug herring . Oh,yeah...Big flasher!

Bummer! I'm still sending you springer karma. This next week is going to be THE week to get fish on the Big C. Up river #'s are building, warm water temps, and relatively dry weather is going to shape up to make it for one fantastic week of fishing.
