I hooked into one and went on a ride. He took my spoon and my flasher and left me disappointed. Planning on heading out again Wednesday. I saw a lot of baitfish being chased so I know they are out there.
The current picked up around 1pm and made my last couple passes were more of a workout.

very cool. appreciate the update.

the seals there are as thick as i've seen them anywhere - we lost a few fish (and some gear) to them last time we were out. think that's what could've taken your fish/gear?

were you fishing w/ downrigger? planer?

I was using a deep six with a green konezone flasher. the thing that took my fish was inexperience and 20lb test leader. I grabbed some 40lb test on the way home.
I am thinking of trying nisqually area for a few hours tomorrow.
