Took the new yaks out onto Devil's lake for the first time today,even caught a couple of small but feisty trout, sorta surprised at catching anything as I was mostly just getting a feel for the boat and seeing how fishing was gonna incorporate into the whole scheme of things.(Note to Self: Take A Net Next time!) It would be great to get together for some fishing Greg, but may be a while before I'm ready for the BIG blue, at the very least though a meet and greet over a beer or soda sounds great! Send me a PM anytime. Yep, today was a total blast on the water, think I'll do it again tommorow!

On a side note: The Wife an I are planning to do some tent camping soon, I was thinking Olallie lake maybe, would this be a good bet for a couple of novices and is the fishing any good there? Also is there good vehicle access? Thanks Again!

Just did a post on Olallie Lake, I would definitely go someplace else this year.

Good for you.
You know, the ocean has been quite flat the last few days.  With a nice cheap wetsuit you'll be fine on Big Blue.
