2015 AOTY now open for registration

Dear magical fish point gods in the sky,

So with all this chatter on other threads about the upcoming tourneys, it reminded me:

Will there ever be an official announcement about the 2014 AOTY? Were there any prizes? Are we purely competing for bragging rights (that's fine, it would just be nice to know)?

I dont think there was an official announcement. They decided to just do cash prizes for 2014. It was $500 for first overall, and $250 each for first in oregon/washington. Not sure whats happening this year.

I'll preempt the mandatory "put up or shut up" comments by pointing out that I volunteered to be a judge for AOTY this year. (Since apparently I have waaaaaaay more time on my hands than everyone else  )

Apparently my services weren't needed. No offense taken, but where are the updates? Personally I only have a very minor upgrade pending, but I've been out... way out... to the wild wild web, out where information is flowing in all directions, and I've seen things... things I can't un-see.

Leviathan lingcod. Barn-door halibut. Bucketmouths and bronzebacks.

There's so many unanswered questions. Will USP end up wearing pink crocks for all of 2016? Will largemouth posts cause me to quit my job in pursuit of a different type of greenbacks? Will they find Timmy in the well?

I am in suspense for an update as well.

Sorry Guys.  Evidently the admin portion of AOTY hasn't been working properly and no one told me about it.  It's fixed now. 

It appears there are a ton of AOTY submissions awaiting approval and I'll spark the fire over at the AOTY committee.

Speaking of which...  Lauren,  I didn't realize you were willing to help judge this year.  I've added you to the AOTY committee and you should be able to see the private forum for that here as well as the "Admin" tab on the AOTY site.

Thanks, MFPG's, for clearing up the backlog. It makes it more interesting to see what everyone has been doing lately.
