Unlike the newspaper, which is only distributed in California, the magazine covers the entire western region including the Pacific Northwest. But I think you're far more newsworthy than that, so I'm looking for other story opportunities.

Since our local mag (Fishng & Hunting News) went belly up WON should get their booties out here too. Would be nice to see a west coast mag like that around.

Man I miss Fishing & Hunting News, it was such a great resource particularly for someone like me who is new to the area.  The salmon and steelhead magazines are nice, but there are a lot of fisheries out there they don't cover.  I'd love to have WON up here.

Is it strictly hardcopy, or availble as online mag??

It's primarily a hardcopy like FHN was, but they have made some advances with their website in the past year or so.  They currently publish a Southern California and a Northern California version of the hardcopy.

:-[ FHN's demise is a sad story. This quote sums it up:

Quote
"Unfortunately, outdoor industry consolidation is shrinking national advertising budgets and the recent state of the economy has hurt a lot of outdoor business, the boat industry in particular. This has created a tough business climate for much of the magazine industry."

Sounds like more folk in OR/WA need to get on the kayak fishing band wagon.
