The biggest challenge I see is finding access and parking.   They have been pretty thorough around Netarts putting jersey barriers and barrels at all the parking spots where someone might go to recreate.  I've seen the Sheriff and an OSP cruising around when I went out to get groceries and check access.  Hope this is over in a couple of weeks.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

No doubt. At least the ocean is forecast to be trash for at least the next week. Even if it does lay down after that, I don't think I'll attempt to squeeze into PC--that'll almost certainly be squashed as soon as any semblance of a crowd shows up. This might be an opportunity to scope out some local fisheries that I've largely ignored.

Its been a very grey area, yesterday we closed developed Recreation sites here on the Siskiyou NF. But dispersed site camping is still a go ahead. And personal use firewood moved to no permit required.

I was looking at the closure notice for the Siuslaw, but it specifies that "Legal hunting and fishing with the appropriate license is permitted".

I went out today on the Coquille to try for a last chance steelhead. We got a good rain flush and the river came up but also colored up. I think it will drop tomorrow and I will try again.

You have a link for that? I'd be thrilled if this is true. All I have so far is the link to the public website...and I freakin' work for the Siuslaw  ::).
