Bump on this excellent informative safety post by Spot now that water and air temps are going down and weather gets more sporty. I re-read it recently and linked to it in another forum when talking about recent kayak and small craft's incidents.  I also second Captain Redbeard's motion to pin it somewhere for easy access, maybe towards the top of the "For Safety's Sake" forum?
