I keep my keys and ID in a pocket under my dry gear. Losing my boat would be bad enough, but having my keys disappear with it would make a bad day even worse. >:(

Mini dry bag (have one of those computerized keys that can't get wet - lame) in the skirt pocket.  it fits into a standard dry top pocket, too.  i think i got it at REI.

My Billabong wetsuit has a special key compartment on the inside.  It's pretty handy since it also has a lanyard sewn inside it.  Before that wetsuit I hid it in the bed of the truck.

Ditto for me.  In a zippered pocket under the dry suit.

In a Pelican box inside the hull because those things have chips inside them now that hate saltwater.

Spare key in an undisclosed location on my vehicle.

Ahhhh ... good point.  My keys are all low-tech analogs.

Haven't gotten the yak yet, but when I'm wading or hiking near water, keys go in a ziploc bag inside my top layer.

Every time I have tried this in other venues (body/boogie surfing, wade fishing, snorkeling, etc.), albeit without a dry top, the ziploc has leaked.
