After seeing your note, I just had to throw my two-cents worth in as well.  I suffered the same problem with my Outback; crack in the drive well which apparently was known to Hobie.  Returned it to Hobie NW in Seattle.  Within a couple of weeks, I had a brand new '09 with all the great upgrades over the '08!!!!  Gotta love Hobie and their no-hassle warranty program!

Will do Roy, I keep threatening to buy one of his Alaska themed aloha shirts. Last time I called out there the woman who answered the phone was awfully snippy though - I guess she thinks he gets a lot of groupies? Anyway, yup, if I get the chance I'll pass it along.

I love having my hands free for the camera, the rod, etc etc---even a book, on lazy days.  That seat leans back far enough for a nap in the warm sun, too---if we ever see it again up here.  Stinky rain and cold wind this week.....
I spent too many years in a sit-in yak fishing and trying to paddle to ever want to do that again!  Paddle leash? You bet!
