so, along with the heavy duty handline, add a couple keel sinkers and some barbless jigheads, a package or tub of berkely saltwater power swimmmers,  a few good quality 2 & 3 way swivels, some medium weight flourocarbon leader material, avoid the toxic areas by checking ahead of time, and go fish.

just remember to take pics..

which reminds me.. found the camera charger yet?

Wow, rough crowd.  :D

i really hope he realizes i'm partly teasing him. ( the camera) nanook being the more traditionalist that he is, pretty much should know how to troll with his yak. i was just tossing in my couple pennies of advice on what tackle to take along.

In addition to the buzz bomb, try pt wilson darts for salmon and bottom fish.  We normally use a white 2 1/4 oz with minimum diameter fish line which is less resistance.
Ling season is closed.  Rock fish limit is one/day no matter what the size.  You can catch and release.  Talk is they may close rock fishing next year as it really has been fished out.
The other info I have used over the years is the Canadian Current Atlas.  You buy the Current Atlas once then the Washburne Tables each year.  Great for knowing slack current when you are bottom fishing.

Welcome Quillback.

Point Wilson darts good!!!  I like to put a bend in the darts near the head for added action.  Not sure how they troll though ...

You use a hammer for that?

Yeah found out I left it in Colorado. Priority mail said I'll have it tomorrow.....just in time for the trip. I just hope I have a little bit of time to actually wet a line. It's torture to be there in a kayak and not be able to fish.
