Reviving an old thread as I serviced my SX's today.  They didn't even make it a year.  I think the Extreme Reel+ lube just plain wore out.  The spool bearing were sticky on both my SX's.  A shot of brake cleaner, a shot of air, and a shot of Corrosion X and they are good as new.

MY Avet burned up in my shed fire, I replaced it with an Accurate Boss Magnum 270, that sucker can pull 50# of drag and is totally easy to use.  Does not cast
as well as the Avet though, not so much freespool (30-40 seconds.)  But it's a beauty....used it this weekend in the Strait and it handled 25# king like it was a trout....
Never underestimate the ability of our policymakers to fail to devise and implement intelligent policy
