To keep yur balls from rolling around in the back of your yak, you could always borrow an "over the shoulder boulder holder" from your woman, and attach it to some lash point. Just don't fumble around too badly when you go to unsnap it.

You think front or back hooks would work better?

I would switch out the wire for spectra.  It makes a world of difference (much smaller diameter thus less drag) and it is much easier to cut in an emergency situation.

+1 on that.  50lb braid gets the job done.

When given the option, forward hooks.

When the girlfriend isn't there to caddy, I keep them in a hammock slung 'round my neck.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
