Back in my younger days, I used to pick a nice calm fall night with a big moon and hike to the riverbank in what was Pixieland around 1 or 2 AM. I'd set up a lawnchair, crack a cold beer and just sit and listen to those big fish beat water. It was always my favorite parade.
