OK update time...Ordered rudder kit and rod pod on Monday, finally showed up Saturday morning...
Ordered the rudder kit for a prowler 15, I'm thinking i got one that was built on a Monday after someone had a weekend they don't remember that flowed right into Monday...
I got shorted tubing by 6 inches both sides, but the cable was like 2 feet too long, theory must have been we cheated him on tubing so we will compensate buy giving extra cable.
Also got a round hatch kit included, Instructions say to cut out  a circle right in front of where you sit, Ahh not on my yak ?  I love cutting holes so i installed it on the rear deck, new storage compartment.
Ended up throwing the "scanned so many times picture/ instructions that were unreadable" in the trash and went to youtube and watched the walk through of the installation.
A couple trips to the local hardware store and it works like a charm.
Maiden voyage to the lake on sunday, people actually stopped fishing and watched me launch the yak got a lot of complements on it. ;D
My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Yeah this time of year it's pretty hit or miss @ BGL, on warmer sunny days though it can be pretty good.  It's about 15 min drive for me, let me know if you wanna meet up sometime

Looks good.  You're going to have a blast!  The first time a big chinook or sturgeon pulls you around is an experience you won't forget.

Why did you decide to mount the fish finder where you did instead of under the sonar shield?

Honestly I'm not sure what they were thinking when they put the sonar pod where they did, I  cant reach my toes sitting flat , can you ? if so reach anther foot forward to actually use your fish finder under the sonar hood,  unless your sitting sideways on your yak, and that's the only way i can see you could reach it, and doing it that way your going to get a kink in your neck looking hard right at the fish finder under the sonar hood all day. If you noticed i put a scotty poll holder just in front of my left foot, that's for the fish finder when I'm sitting sideways on the yak, Not to worry i found anther use for the sonar compartment, beer and ice ( It holds 4 cans and ice)   ;D

Way to show no fear modifying your new kayak.  It looks like one hell of a fishing machine.

Ahh... that makes sense.  I slide forward on the rod pod lid to reach the sonar or use the stick my gopro is attached to for button pressing.  You have a good alternative for that compartment.
