Hello everyone ;D

I'm new to this forum, been lurking for some time.
Not sure if I'm even in the right spot for new people..lol
been looking for a ocean kayak for some time now, finally ran across one on Craig's list, been looking for a 13 foot yak but this 15 foot
one cough my eye, the bad its a 4 hour drive to see it, round trip 8 hours :-\ and 100bucks in fuel !
Ive came to the conclusion that after my last quad race January 1st this year that adding 2 more compression fractures in my back i need a more mellow
sport, I`I've had sport yack`s in the past but no one to go with, hopefully i can tag along with a few of you in the up coming spring / summer outtings...
I'm looking forward to transforming it into an all around fishing vessel.
I'm located in battle ground washington

here it is let me know what you think, I'm off at first light to look at it.....

later all....

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Yeah that yak looks to be in great shape.  600 bucks (including gas) ain't too bad if it's in as good of condition as it looks.  Besides, you may be able to haggle with him on the price a little, since you were so promptly willing to take the trip.  We're pretty close to each other lemme know if you wanna head out sometime

I paid $650 for my T13 used. We might go pick this up for my nephew.

I paid $600 for an older Prowler 15 this last fall which lacks many of the nice features of that Trident.  It did come with a Ruder but was sun bleach and filled with leaves from being stored outside with the hatches up and open.    In a heart beat I would rather have found a deal like that Trident and then shopped around for a ruder kit later.

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

wascaly,
mr. if you don't grab that deal asap you may get beat to the punch... like others said before me, even with the fuel cost rolled inthat's a steal.

BUT, if you do not mind a shorter drive, and want a boat really truly ready to fish from, Lee has a great inclusive deal listed here. Sure the asking price is a bit more, but for what it includes, it too is a great bargain.

Wow the yak was the cheap part of this adventure!
Note to self, never buy a yak just prior to the Portland sportsman show....
Check list, new chest waders and boots, rudder system, 3 new Scotty poll holders, and 2 new drop in holders behind the seat (wanna look cool like every other yak on the water that has that  multi poll syndrome thing  going on) New rod and real for salmon and bottom fishing, Lowrance m68c fish finder (from what i can tell  looking through the 600 page manual it does everything including  starting a fire to cook the fish for ya) and i made a handy dandy cart for toting my yak to the water, when i do finally catch that first fish its gonna be dang expensive, think ill mount it on the wall..... ;D

Welcom to The Cure Wascaly!

Nice talking with you at the show Wednesday.  Hopefully I'll be seeing ya on the water some time.  Don't forget to share your successes and more importantly your failures.  I'm a firm believer in learning vicariously.
