So this week I plan on getting my FF/GPS combo, which I hope to have set-up for my first time crabbing.  Anyway, Ive seen some discussion on here about the scupper mounted transducers and the good/bad.  If I remember correctly it seemed like some people tried it and didnt seem too happy so they went back to the hull mounted.  My question is, is there anyone with a scupper mount sitting around?  I would like to try this first before I mount the puck in my hull.  Also, has anyone put a scupper mount on an OK Prowler with the special scupper for the transducer?  How well did it fit?  Thanks everyone

I had a prowler trident 15 with the transducer scupper and mounted my hummingbird transducer through it and it work great.

P.S. I thought that I needed a washer on the shaft of the 'ducer before the nut went on and it nearly sealed the scupper completely so I took it back off and then it drained just fine.

I put a scupper transducer on my Trident13 and used a breadboard washer I made with a couple of hole saws.  The key is to make the plastic washer, then cut about 30 degrees out of it, and orient the washer's slot with the drainage lead.

I was going to do something similar 'cause it just looked like it needed a washer (lack of nut surface contacting the 'yak) but ended up buying a new outback and took the hummingbird with me and mounting it thru-hull in the outback.
