Yeah, sorry I'm a little late on the report, but there isn't much to report.  I trolled for salmon most of Friday just outside the mouth of the Chetco.  I marked plenty of fish, but they weren't interested.  That seemed to be the experience others were sharing back on shore.   I saw a striper fin the surface about 20 feet from my kayak at one point but didn't have anything ready to throw at it.   :BangHead:

As Boxofrain mentioned, I chatted with Yellowtail Bill and he gave me a tip on a spot for cali-hali's.  I gave that a shot on Monday and worked it hard for a solid 5 hours for nuthin.   The wind picked up to around 20 mph around mid-day so that made things interesting.

Both days I managed to pull in a few rockfish though, so I did get something for the freezer.  One ended up going 20.75"(not pictured below).

That really is an amazing area!  There are plenty of spots to work and the weather can be awesome!  Thanks again to Boxofrain for the tips!  I think I also passed PNW on my way back early Monday evening.
