Had a fun couple of hours out at PC on wednesday. Blasted out of Bend around 5 and after a couple of stops, made it down around 10.

Saw (the Nothing's) VW parked with the roof up..didn't see a yak though? I did see a yellow yak north of the rock and cape...was that you by chance?

Dropped a pot in a dory free and crab buoyed area and went about exploring. Wind picked up a little shortly after i got out, but decided to stay out since i didn't see much foam on the beach. Wind was kinda coming and going so I paddled around to get a feel for the topography.

During another blow, I saw yellow yak and about all the dorys head in and began thinking they knew something I didn't.....So, only about an hour and a half soak...pulled the pot in order to head for the beach. 5 REALLY nice keepers graces my pot....Compared to the bay crab I'm used to hauling in...they were ginormous! (as my little boy would say).

Passed a dude in a grey Hobie who was fishing around the rock...and talked briefly to him on the beach after his reel snafu'd and he needed to grab a different rod.. Not sure if he's on here or not...beuller??

Came in too soon since there was no surf to speak of even with the wind..but since I was heading northbound to Nehalem I decided to call it a morning..

Anyways, fun stuff..

I am trying to decide if the look on your face is that of joy, pride, or  "This thing is ugly, what the F do I do with it now?"   ;)

That is such an awesome catch! I guess I could have figured that they were there, but it's just crazy to see one caught.  What did it fight like?
