new to kayaking

Hello everyone.i have been wanting to give kayak fishing a try.iv fished and hunted alown most of my life so another solo sport is right up my ally.i have been using my OK Trident 13 in the columbia river at the dalles to get my practice.the bardge wakes give me rough water practice for going to depot bay or pacific city.i know i will be picking your brains a bit being a nooby.
