How Ya'll are!?
I just ordered an O/R Seattle Sombrero, sounded like what I need for our Pac Nor weather.
I see most of us do wear a hat for obvious reasons.
What is your best choice for the top 'o the Noggin'?
What do you like and dislike (if any) about it?
Thanks for the input.

I have a Seattle Sombrero that I bought in the early 90's.  Still use it on occasion.  Good choice!!!

I also have an Extrasport Expedition Hat which is very similar.

glad to hear it was a good one.
So...you don't have it with you for every outing? ;D

I've used this Filson hat for years. http://fil.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pFILSON1-2230540dt.jpg  I've added a strap to keep it on in the wind. I've used it to haul drinking water and as a shower.

normally i dont wear a hat at all unless i'm in extreme weather, like cold,[ ususally a knitted beanie] or gigawatt sun [ then, it's some type of fedora style hat that breathes]. but, i do have a lot of outerwear with hoods. like those more, they dont come off easily and it's always there if i need it.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

Another Seattle sombrero user here. Actually had 'em on sale the other day for $20 @ Campmor so grabbed it. That site has some insane sales. If it's not raining I'm a big time beanie user.

I've got a Lowe Alpine Hat that looks like the Seattle Sombrero, only with fleece ear warmers. Pretty handy in the cold and snowy conditions we have over here.

I have an ancient white cotton Tilly Ultimate I've had for over a decade that I use in the summer (either it, or a very wide brimmed sun hat I picked up at Next Adventure a few years ago.

In winter I wear an ugly olive green but very functional gore tex booney hat I picked up at Sportsman's Warehouse.  For a rain hat, it pays to order a size or two larger, so you can wear a skullcap of some kind underneath for extra warmth.

This has become my favorite hat:

The netting stuffs up into the hat most of the time, but MAN, it's indispensable when the no-see-ums and mosquitoes swarm.
