 :)hi am new to this forum 5/6 month ..final get round to buying something to fish in ..but have a problem !! its in florida mabee 3200 mls away ..got in contact with a guy out of new York who will /can do it ..$575 u.s ...and then ave got duty /tax to get it over border to Vancouver b.c ...[hoping to avoid that too ...??]  any replys or pm s will be gladly accepted ..

IF you haven't payed for it yet,Don't.and Find something Closer,maybe just over the border Lots of good used kayaks in the northwest ,why get one from Fla?that You can't see first hand.

billy theres got to be used kayaks suitable for fishing in the Vancouver BC area. Have you been looking at Craigslist etc.?

thanks for the very quick response ...ive had and been looking for something that suits for ocean type conditions , when your settled on one after mabee 6/7 kayak changes in 5/6 yrs ...your know what you want but theres only one agent in the u.s and none in Canada ...its been paid for and will be ready in 4/6 wks ...am hoping that someone might know someone who mabee frequents florida ...long distance driver ...? ...I know its a long shot ..but ye never know until ye try ...

an easy $400 us if you just happen to be goin that way

Seems Billy can't shake his love for Kazkazi boats. Can't blame home; they are sexy. Look into basic domestic freight carriers. The kind that drive a semi truck to your door. Even with Canadian transport, it should be cheaper than that quote. From what I recall, heavy fishing kayaks can ship across the country for a few hundred. Call Austin Canoe/Kayak and ask what carrier they prefer. Likely to be cheap and effective.

I think the issue is shipping from USA to Canada. I hear customs can be a pain in the wallet.

Using Old Dominion's estimate calculator, and playing around with your general dimensions and guess-timated freight class, I came up with a standard rate fare of 389 bucks.  That's from Boca Raton to Seattle.  Ship time 6 days.  Maybe call them up and see.  Or play with it and put in the actual stats:
