I haven't ventured out much in the small water since moving up from southern Oregon but have been itching to try out my outback.  My problem is that I've not floated any of the rivers up here; so I've been doing my homework, trying to get as much information as I can about the rivers...mainly the Sandy, Wilson, and Trask.  Anyway, I came across this yesterday and thought I would share:

http://www.sandywatertrail.org/

I have not seen this before so I figured I would share.  This has some great information about put ins, take outs, rapids, parks and so on.  I'm sure many of you guys know the river pretty well, but if not this is worth looking at.

I'll be floating a lower section of it soon.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Nice Spot...I do have some extra parts just in case.  I'm only planning on using the drive to hold in deep pools so hopefully I can avoid the unthinkable.  :'(

I'd really like to float portions of the Wilson and Trask while the levels are up; anyone have a similar float map for these rivers?...Or advice on areas to avoid?

I'm just doing homework at this point, but if anyone plans to float these and wants some company please let me know.

Its plenty deep, except where it isn't.  I find that if you hit hard enough, you bend both shafts equally with very little performance loss.  ;D It is bad when you only bend the front one.
