Broke but stoked...

Just ordered my T3 Supernova Angler dry suit! I got a nice deal on it and it should be here Monday. Can't wait to practice righting and re-entry! Now my girlfriend won't be so worried about me when I go fishing

I realized I shouldn't be taking chances with my safety. Plus having it here by Monday for under $500 isn't so bad for a life long purchase.

I'm in the same boar and going to size suits tomorrow.  I can't decide between the Angler Hydrus material and the lightweight gore-tex.  The goretext is much more expensive but supposedly breathes much better.

Anyone with experience in both suits?

Yeah it was a discontinued color. I found it on kayak academy.com. there are other close out deals to be had! I talked them out of the $9 shipping haha. It's worth checking out.

Tropos t3 is being replaced by hydrus so there are lots of deals to be found on the tropos drysuits.  Nrs and kayak academy had good closeouts that I noticed when I was shopping.

I'm driving to kayak academy tomorrow!  Too funny... their prices do seem really good and hopefully I can find something that fits me well.  I'm between a L and XL according to the kokatat size chart due to my height.

I fall under the same fitting situation as you. They recommended going with the XL to allow room for insulation. My concern had to deal with dropping weight. I dedicated myself to losing weight and getting in shape and I'm 20 pounds lighter in a little over a month.
I let them know that and they said if I lose a bunch of weight I could trade the suit in for a different size possibly.
That is awesome and earned them some major points in my book.
