This is the Kokatat Supernova angler suit. I realize that cotton isn't the best choice. I literally came home from work, opened the box and climbed into this thing. I'm impressed with the material. I was relieved that it is so thin yet feels so durable.

excellent, I have the same suit, same color, in "L" coming in the mail this week, there are some good deals on these now with new version/colors coming in....

The neck and wrist gaskets are not awesome feeling. I need to get those stretched out! The neck isn't so bad but the wrists are awfully tight. I haven't fished in my suit and I already know it's going to be a good time...once it's properly stretched of course.

Stick some beer cans or cans of soup in the arms to stretch them out. If that doesn't work you may have to cut them.

How long do you think it will take to stretch them out?

Couple of days. You may also just have to get used to wearing it.

Oh piss! That seems like too long, haha. I'm so tempted to just cut it. I could adjust to the neck gasket but the wrists would bother me. I'll give it a day or two since I can't fish until Saturday anyway.

The pug book end is hella tight.

I think that's what I said when I saw your NA Sturgeon Tournament Trophy bookend.

Cutting is a last resort.  Try sticking soup cans in the wrists between now and Saturday.  Should help.

Listen to Mr. Spot. If you get them too loose and you reach into cold water and get a nice little stream of water down your arm you will regret it.

I just picked up an XL kokatat suit and I feel like I'm swimming in the thing.  After a couple hours on the water is doesn't feel bunchy or get in the way at all.  I figure I have room to grow horizontally either through layering or being lazy.

That's encouraging! I feel a lot better about the fit of my suit now, thanks to you guys.

One of the wrists on my new drysuit was so tight that my hand was going numb. But after 3 trips out with it lasting 3-4 hours each, it's comfortable now. Give it a little time before cutting it.

After the first 10 seconds of trying on my drysuit for the first time,  I was on the floor tapping out feeling like I was in a choke hold.   Every bit of research I did regarding gaskets feeling too tight resulted in the same exact advise Spot gave regarding pre-stretching prior to considering cutting.

I am just glad this wasn't the   "Does This Drysuit Make My Butt Look Big"  question as all of us who are / have been married knows to just leave the room claiming they hear a phone ringing when that happens.   ;D
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I have a different sized body, but the same suit and it fits me about the same.  Better to have it feel a bit too big than a bit too small.  In the winter I have had 4 layers under it, base, heavy bunny, heavy fleece, heavy prop, dry suit, and I can still move.  It's a bitch to dig through all the layers through the relief zipper, but it's better than either alternative - cold or wet.  In the summer I've gone with a single base layer and been okay.  Baggy is not bad. Don't be surprised when you practice self-rescue and the air blows out around your neck.
